What can you say about Willie Colon & Hector Lavoe. The Dream Duo of
Salsa. I love this album. There is no doubting that the salsa from
this era was at its most vibrant, original, and brilliant. And there
is also no doubting that Willie Colon (with Hector Lavoe) were its
greatest proponents. Anyone wanting to hear salsa at its best needs
to listen to the 70's albums of Colon & Lavoe, stuff like Cosa
Nuetra, Juicio, La Gran Fuga (Big Break), etc. The modern day salsa
has its place, Marc Anthony's albums are very good. But if you want
the best you put on a 70's salsa album. Simple as that!
On this one, has some of the
classics Barrunto, Panamena, Abuelita...
