Salsas The '70s were the golden age for salsa music. From 1979-81 I was living in Lima, Peru. I left Europe carrying LPs like Clash, Pink Floyd, and during those two years, I missed the birth of new wave in Europe, but witnessed the popularity of some of the best salsa songs and discs. While driving towards Cristal football camp, Ruben inserted the casset with Siembra, and I heard for the first time the songs that will make the history of salsa: Pedro Navaja and El Plastico.
